The Diamond Approach is now available in Ottawa.  This is good news for coaches who wish to deepen their own self-awareness and also gain insights into what their clients may be experiencing.

I first became aware of the Diamond Approach through Sandra Maitri’s writing on the Enneagram.  As an executive coach, I rely on the Enneagram, regardless of the psychometric instrument I might be using.  The Diamond Approach works with the Enneagram and goes much further.  It is a method that has expanded my own understanding of the various aspects of my personality by systematically helping me examine what I experience from specific angles.  It has improved my ability to discern and process emotional information, and better understand what effects emotions may be having on others.

As the website for the Diamond Approach indicates, “there are no beliefs to accept or ideology to embrace — you simply need a sincere desire to know what is true about yourself.”   Reading about the Diamond Approach, attending workshops and practicing with others has been my way of learning about this method.  The workshops were given by Lisa Barrett (who teaches internationally), she is the teacher bringing this method to Ottawa.

The next of three annual workshops will be Nov 2-4, 2018 at St. Paul’s University.  The price for the three-day workshop is $425 + HST, $300 + HST for FT students. For more information and registration, please contact Lisa Barrett at 2simplybeing@gmail.com.
