President – Dawn Firestone, CPCC

Dawn Firestone brings extensive experience in corporate communications and nonprofit management to her position on the ICF board. Passionate about taking an active role in her community, she volunteers as a crisis specialist at the Ottawa Distress Centre where she is also on the Board.

Skilled at communications, strategic planning and project and event management, her creativity helps client connect the dots with surprising results.

She has a personal interest in coaching those who have received a cancer diagnosis so they can live the life they envision as individuals with strength, independence, dignity and purpose.

Past-President, Denis Lévesque, PCC, CEC

Denis is a bilingual leadership specialist and executive coach working primarily with mid to senior managers in leadership development, career management and transition as well as with sales professionals in Sales Force Effectiveness. Prior to becoming a coach, Denis held roles in high tech companies, startups, government organizations and consultant groups at the management and leadership levels. Denis has a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching (Royal Roads University), a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Management and in Information Systems. He is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), finalizing his last stretch to obtain his Master Certified Coach (MCC) credentials.

Julie FranciscoTreasurer, Member at LargeJulie Francisco, ACC, ORSCC

Julie Francisco takes a playful and daring approach to changing organizations from the inside out. An executive coach and leadership development expert, her passion is working with groups and individuals engaging them in looking at challenges critically and creating new outcomes with a bigger impact.

As an Organizational and Relationship Systems Coach her focus is on the relationship with the group, team or system and this approach creates sustainable and resilient teams, families and individuals.


Director Special Projects Nicola Johnson

Nicola Johnson is an Executive Coach to a national clientele of Corporate Leaders in the public and private sector. She has assisted individuals and teams build strong working relationships, communicate with impact, increase productivity and achieve their own definition of success. Her expertise is in improved performance through removal of barriers, insight into possibility, and solid execution of a plan for sustainable change.

Nicola’s 25 years of experience in business, with 6 years as a leadership development and executive coach, give her an exceptional breadth and depth of knowledge of organization and interpersonal dynamics combined with a profound understanding of life as a leader.

High in energy, highly observant and highly skilled at connecting with individuals and getting them out of their comfort zone Nicola encourages her clients to recognize their strengths and learning edge for the purpose of elevating them to greater accomplishments as leaders.

Nicola completed the Royal Roads University Masters Certificate in Executive Coaching and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accredited through the International Coach Federation.

Communication Director – Kevin Judge

Kevin is an international speaker, author, business coach and consultant. His focus spans two areas. First, he helps organizations achieve success through organizational development, facilitation, and coaching initiatives. Second, he works with coaches to turn their passion for helping others into a thriving coaching business. Prior to this, Kevin worked 21 years in the corporate world as a collaborative partner and leader across multiple industries and geographies, small and large organizations, and climates of growth and decline. Kevin’s service to his clients is supported by a Bachelor of Business Administration (Bishop’s University), Adult Education (St. Francis-Xavier University), Human Resources (Cornell University (ILR)), and Executive Coaching (Royal Roads University). He is an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC).

Programming Chair – Sue Kavanagh, ACC

Having served for over 18 years as a Human Resource leader and strategic business partner, Sue’s work is dedicated to coaching and advising executives, and people managers on how to better manage change; personally and professionally. By harnessing the power of self-awareness, she supports their development with sustainable approaches to being effective leaders.

Sue has a BA in Sociology (Carleton), four HR certifications with WorldatWork (CCP, GRP, CBP,WLCP), and three certifications from the Human Capital Institute (HCS, SWP, SHRBP). Sue is an Integral Associate Coach™ (Integral Coaching Canada) and an Associate Coach with the Enneagram in Business Global Network.

Sue brings extensive programming and event planning experience to the ICF Ottawa Chapter. She has organized and worked with teams on many small to large events over the past 20 years. She is also the Founder of Healing Broken Hearts, a forum to provide grief education programs to the bereaved and those supporting them personally and professionally.
