Wendy Pentland, BScOT, MEd, PhD, PCC

I am an International Coach Federation certified Professional Coach (PCC) who has provided executive and life coaching services for more than 15 years to over 500 professionals and executives internationally in the private and public sectors. I completed professional coach training through the Adler School of Professional Coaching (Toronto), a BSc Occupational Therapy and a Master of Education through Queen’s University (Kingston) and my PhD in Rehabilitation Science at Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. In addition to coaching, my 35 year career includes occupational therapy clinician, health care administrator, tenured university professor, researcher and consultant.

My purpose as a coach is to assist clients to design and live full and deeply satisfying lives. I provide coaching services to clients who want their lives to be different or who have reached a professional or personal turning point. Areas of expertise include:

  • Personal and/or professional change and transitions
  • Interpersonal effectiveness including communication, self awareness, leadership and managing difficult relationships
  • Work-life integration to optimize your effectiveness, balance, health and fulfillment in both areas

My coaching approach is to assist you to design and integrate your personal and professional lives to optimize your fulfillment, joy and success in both areas. This approach is grounded in the belief that people are motivated primarily by two desires; to fulfill their own potential and to make a meaningful contribution. We frequently have difficulty fulfilling these desires because we govern ourselves with beliefs and fictions that hold us back and blind us to what may be greater possibilities.

As your coach, I will help you clarify your personal values, recognize your limiting beliefs, identify your strengths and determine what is truly important to you. In our coaching work together, you will learn to choose and make lasting changes that will lead to improved well-being, effectiveness and success. Combining knowledge and experience from both coaching and occupational therapy enables me to use a unique and powerful approach that will assist you to create what you want and get where you want to go.

I have coached clients across Canada and the United States from a wide variety of fields and professions including executives, managing partners, administrators, managers, private business and practice owners, federal and provincial government professionals, lawyers, physicians, academic faculty and leaders, allied health professionals, dentists, artists, teachers, financial planners, coaches and architects. I provide coaching services to the Ontario Medical Association and College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have provided executive coaching services to Queen’s University and the Queens University Smith School of Business MBA and Executive Development Programs since coaching was added to their services. In addition to training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, I am an ICF registered Mentor Coach, certified Retirement Coach and certified LEADS Leadership Coach through the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
I would be delighted to speak with you and answer any questions you may have about coaching and my services. Email: wendypentland@gmail.com Phone: 613-542-8998.
