Presented by Dr. Bea Carson

Bea CarsonAction Learning has become a key training and problem-solving tool for companies as diverse as: Microsoft, Price Waterhouse Coopers, NASA, Marriott, Booz Allen Hamilton, Novartis, Deutsche Bank, Boeing, Caterpillar, AT&T and more. These and thousands of other companies around the world now employ Action Learning for: strategic planning, developing leaders, identifying competitive advantages, reducing operating costs and for creating high performing organizations.

The World Institute for Action Learning-USA (WIAL-USA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and advancement of Action Learning in business and government. Simply put, WIAL-USA solves problems, cultivates productive teams, and builds leaders in real time. Action Learning is more relevant to organizations than ever as an effective solution for solving complex problems and building strong working teams.

Specifically, action learning is remarkable in its ability to help individuals and teams:

  • solve problems and challenges with breakthrough and sustaining strategies,
  • develop the leadership skills and qualities needed
  • develop teams that continuously improve their capability to form and adapt, and capture, transfer, and apply valuable knowledge at all levels.

Action Learning is a process that naturally creates learning organizations. At the heart of the successful Action Learning experience is the Action Learning Coach who models the questioning, reflection, and coaching skills that increasingly will characterize successful leaders in the 21st century.

Three things you will learn:

  • The Action Learning basics
  • How to question effectively
  • How using Action Learning techniques can enhance your client’s self-awareness, emotional intelligence and capability to reflect on and learn from their experience
